Theme: Joyful service

A defining characteristic of a Christian leader is service and sacrifice. Jesus taught "whoever would be great among you must be your servant" because "the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:43, 45). This teaching of Jesus is applied every week by volunteer leaders who sacrifice for evening meetings, weekend events, and the stress of filling in for others who don't show up. These realities of leadership can easily translate into despair or cynicism towards one's local church. How can Christian leaders prevent this translation from happening?

This day conference will consider how the calling of sacrificial leadership is an opportunity for great joy. It's a time for Trinity leaders to be blessed and inspired at the start of the 2017-18 ministry year. The day will consist of large group gatherings with corporate prayer and singing, practical workshops about making disciples and developing leaders, and plenty of time to interact and eat with other leaders. The church building will also be a place flowing with coffee and snacks. You don't want to miss this day!

Can i invite others to come?

This conference is specifically for those at Trinity who are in leadership roles. This is not a public event or an event for other congregations. However, we encourage you to generously invite other potential leaders in your ministry, or potential leaders in the congregation, to come to this conference. Just have them register at the link above.

What if i can't make it?

If you absolutely cannot make this work, as in you tried everything except selling a kidney to pay off the other person or thing demanding your Saturday, then this is a perfect opportunity to send another potential leader to represent your ministry. Who on your team would really benefit from going to this time, and is a growing leader within your team? Share this URL with that person, and ask them to come.
