Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. - John 6:35
During Holy Week, Jesus sits down for one last meal with his disciples before he is betrayed and handed over to his execution. Through church history, the word "Maundy" comes from the Latin word for mandate... This is the Biblical event from which we draw our mandated practice in our Sunday liturgy to take, eat, drink, and proclaim the Lord's death until he comes again in glory.
In observance of this Holy Week event, we are hosting a Maundy Thursday potluck in the fellowship hall! We will participate in scripture readings, take communion with each other, and then sit down for a meal.
Time: 530PM - 830PM
We will eat at 6PM
Sign up to bring a dish in the narthex
Church will provide utensils, coffee, lemonade, and water.
All families are welcome!
