Worship gathering
Each Sunday, we gather corporately, to center our attention on God and the transformative power of His gospel of grace, revealed in Jesus Christ and applied by the Holy Spirit. This Trinitarian focus permeates every aspect of our Sunday Gathering, aiming to both edify believers and thoughtfully engage those exploring the Christian faith. During a typical Sunday Gathering, you can expect a blend of ancient hymns and modern praise, sermons that explore books of the Bible or key doctrines of the Christian faith, and the weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper. Baptisms are celebrated at least a couple times a year, once in October and the other on Easter Sunday.
Liturgy
The liturgy of our Sunday Gathering unfolds through four key parts:
-
We begin by assembling together, hearing a call to worship, and singing a couple songs, uniting with the ongoing worship of Christ in heaven.
-
Here we focus on the Word, with Scripture readings (sometimes in different languages) and expository preaching that proclaims Jesus from all of Scripture.
-
We unite to take the Lord’s Supper where we remember and declare Christ's death and enjoy Christ’s presence through faith. This part of liturgy also includes congregational prayers, reciting creeds or the Lord's Prayer, and giving thanks through our offerings.
-
Being exposed to the gospel in preaching and taking Communion elicits a response. The service concludes with songs, a call to live out our mission, and a benediction, empowering us to glorify God in daily life and share the Gospel locally and globally.
Music
At Trinity City Church, music is an important expression of worship, serving as a powerful means by which we respond to God's grace and proclaim His truth. Through music we lift our voices in praise, confess our faith, lament, and express our deepest longings, fostering both individual devotion and corporate unity. We believe that music deepens our encounter with our Triune God.

We are currently blessed to have Pat Kiloran and Hannah Kermott serve as our Musicians in Residence. For a sample of the type of songs we play, give this Spotify playlist a listen.
