At Trinity City Church, we love books. Our respective men’s and women’s ministries have book clubs throughout the ministry year that cultivate the love of reading, study, and theology.   1. To Be a Christian: An Anglian Catechism by JI Packer 

    1. As a church, we use this material as part of our catechism for older kids and for adult believers who are either converts or coming back into a more robust and orthodox faith. This walks through, The Lord’s Prayer, The Apostle’s Creed & The Ten Commandments

  1. The Reason For God: Belief In An Age of Skepticism by Tim Keller 

    1. This is an amazing book written by a pastor in New York City that gives an apologetic for the Christian faith amidst secularism which has been massively influential on our local church’s culture, especially at the time of planting in 2010.

  1. What's a Christian, Anyway?: Finding Our Way In An Age of Confusion & Corruption by Glenn Packiam

    1. Our women’s book club read this in the 2025-2026 ministry year and raved about the timeliness of studying the ‘why’ behind the ancient Nicene Creed on the 1700th anniversary of that document being published. It is an accessible and foundational read in understanding the building blocks of the Christian faith. 

  1. A New Testament Biblical Theology: The Unfolding of the Old Testament in the New by G.K. Beale 

    1. More of an academic entry in this list, Beale’s thorough Biblical examination shows readers how their Old Testament has a myriad of significant tethers and implications for New Testament texts and beliefs that we hold.
